DIPLOMA IN OPERATION THEATRE TECHNOLOGY

Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology will provide thorough knowledge regarding working in operation theatre along with miscellaneous topics like Infection control, Bio medical waste management etc. Students will be able to prepare the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and nurses in various procedure before, during and after surgery. Instructional methods are varied including classrooms and labs. Individual will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, sterilization and personal hygiene.

Operation Theatre Technology is related to all the work and management of the operation theatre. The course prepares students for managing the patients as well as for monitoring the ins and outs of an operation theatre. During the study, the students are responsible for looking after all the surgical instruments as well as their sterilization. Students assist the surgeon during operations and closely look after the drugs, anesthetic gases, drapes and sterilization requirements during surgery.
